Last Sunday, I made a little jaunt downtown to meet some of my friends. A few of us we're going to the Lorde concert at Hudson River Park that night, so we thought a quick late lunch beforehand would be in order. I was in charge of finding a spot to eat. After some Instagram hunting, I found Hamilton's Soda Fountain. The old school, retro diner of your dreams.
I ordered a turkey club and a chocolate milkshake (hard to resist...). The menu is amazing - any breakfast you could wish for. And the drink options are endless .. ice cream floats, flavored sodas, and milkshake combos for days.
It's in the heart of the West Village. I spotted this amazing blue door across the street mid-sandwich-chewing-session. It was my first stop once the check was paid. There were definitely people home so this picture was the only one and turned out a bit blurry. It'll do.
I can't wait to head back down to Hamilton's. The tables and soda bar were filled with equal parts regulars and super trendy West Villagers. I have no complaints - the people watching was just great.
All in all, you need to you. Need to go.
