ABC can shut it, because Friday will always be better than Thursday. #TGIT? No. #TGIF? Yes.
Fridays are amazing, really. 90% of the world works (or goes to school .. #represent!) all day, and something about just the word Friday propels them to keep going. The excitement of the weekend keeps us up an extra couple hours, doing things other than eating popcorn and watching Scandal. It's magnificent, really. And this Friday seems just a tinge more magnificent. The first of October, the trees are sparkling in all their fall hues, the temperature perfect for jeans, your favorite vest, and chic-as-can-be ballet flats.
It's the kind of day that makes want to pretend I live in New England. Especially because I'm heading out to the Giants game this Sunday, and can't wait to bask in the glory of fall. And then prove all the real New Englanders that the Giants are, and always will be, better than the Patriots. I guess this would be a more cohesive thought if we were actually playing the Patriots - which we're not - &/or if we were actually any better than them this season - which we're not. But my fantasy lives on!
And comes full circle with the outfit above. Wearing this to the game on Sunday would probably kill me with all its fall fashion bliss.
But, we all know I'll actually wear leggings and a tshirt. And then, come Sunday night, start wishing it was Thursday.
